    Project X (Cross) Zone - 3DS

Thought I started this thread last night...

    SEGA x Capcom x BandaiNamco

Looks very Tales Of/Endless Frontier and features character from franchises from all three companies. Hopefully a Jump Super Stars beater in every way. Out 2012 sometime, and hopefully not Japan-only.

Looks very much like a spiritual sequel to Namco X Capcom on the PS2.

Unfortunately, I also see Project X Zone following the same path and being JPN-only. Hope I'm wrong about that, obviously.

Yup, I noticed that a few days later. You took your time!

Yeah, the more I watch that preview, the more I think Mugen no Frontier - KOS-MOS' attacks are literally lifted straight from EXCEED.

Namco X Capcom I've not played, although there were references to the game throughout Mugen no Frontier apparently.

Amazing news considering it's poor performance in Japan. Nintendo probably threw some rupees at them.

                  This.

Excellent news, however you look at it. I'd be surprised if the western version of PXZ didn't get signficant changes like how Tatsunoko vs. Capcom did when it went from Cross Generation of Heroes (JPN) to Ultimate All-Stars (US/EUR) in terms of licensing issues like music/characters/artwork, etc.

Good news to hear and doesn't make me feel as bad when I missed the Jap version on sale recently.

                    The sooner the better.

The thing is, that might have been due to Tatsunoko licensing to other companies, whereas the characters featured in PXZ are all (possibly except for the Mugen no Frontier ones, as Endless Frontier was released by Atlus) held by their respective owners, Capcom, SEGA and BandaiNamco.

US release confirmed by Namco Bandai USA for June 25th.

European release still listed as "Summer 2013", but you'd think that it would be similar.

This is shockingly good news (I put my pre-order in as soon as it was up on BestBuy).

I guess that review needs to materialise soon then.

European release confirmed by Namco Bandai for July 5th.

US pre-orders confirmed to receive Limited Edition set (Game + Artbook + OST CD). No word yet if European pre-orders will receive the same.

Is it actually a proper fighting game?
