Bloomberg have reported that Nexon, South Korean publisher of Maple Story, have approached EA with an interest to buy them out. Neither have commented as yet but EA's shares increased by 6% at the news.

Where did this Nexon make their money? Is it that Maple Story thing? I thought it was some free-to-play rubbish MMO.Comment

Once again EA's share price has risen off the back of rumours that it is soon to be bought out. This time it revolves around private equity company KKR and Providence Equity looking to acquire the publisher. Who knows if it will happen, though buy out rumours keeping dogging the company.Comment

I'm guessing in the grand scheme of things there are good reasons for EA to want this, if they are owned by a bigger richer company, they have more access to credit and get some better financial deals as a result.Comment
