I've got hold of the wii starter set but it doesn't come with the game. After looking on eBay I've seen separate discs, but they also include a wireless dongle for wii. Is this needed as the portal of power I have is wired anyway

That's a little strange as I thought it was only the Xbox 360 version of the Portal that required a wired USB connection. Both the Wii and PS3 Portals are wireless and require a USB dongle.

Hmm maybe it's got the wrong portal as well in that case. It was from a fellow journo and there is definitely a wire coming out of the portal.

Yeah I have indeed. Will pick the starter up later today. At least I have some spares now (I'm assuming you can play two player with two spyros)

And I have no idea if you can use two of the same character. But considering its just a glorified memory card, I don't see why you can't. You are given the choice of an upgrade path so you could have two of the same figure and choose different upgrades for each.

It's for my daughter's 7th birthday. I have bought myself two figures for myself though

Man im terrible. Not only have i picked up two toys in asda for myself, ive also treated myself to the 3ds version. ?60 bloody quid in game! I cant find it on sale anywhere though. Next saturday cant come quickly enough

It comes minus the 2 3ds exclusive figures but both are getting a release singlely from what i hear.

Yeah with hindsight i could have bought psn cards. Oh well its just credit and thr game is surprisingly fun. Have a level 4 dark spyro now

My son (9) beat Kaos this afternoon after having it for a week. He's only at 40% completion, though and seems to relish the prospect of going back over it to level up and complete other missions to which I heaved a big sigh of relief. Despite me insisting we wouldn't go mad with the figures he's now got 18 of the blighters and the crypt adventure. We picked up a 'legendary' 3-pack this afternoon from ToysRUs (with some of his birthday money) and I treated him to Camo (as that's his name - Cam Overton) and just couldn't resist.
