Castlevania: Mirror of Faith

Said to be being revealed at E3, this is being mooted to be a Nintendo 3DS game. It's being linked with David Cox who worked on Lords of Shadow which if true would suggest Igarashi is no longer involved in new entries. This could be a handheld tie in with the restarted mythology.

Stoked for a new Castlevania, less so if the talk of it being the 'restarted' mythology is true, though. Didn't enjoy the last Iga title that much, but would still much sooner see him have another crack of the whip (ho ho) than continuing down the overly cinematic path that Lords of Shadow went.

I'd rather see another IGA 2D Castlevania with added 3D effects.

Castlevania is far from over, it is pretty much always given good gameplay experiences. The two last gen titles were good fun and the DS versions were top notch.

Nice to see a portable title coming.

I tend to agree with most of what you say , but not this . Lord of Shadow was not only the best Castlevania game I've played since Part IV , but also one of the best games I've played this or any other gen . Can't want for the sequel myself

Yeah, cliched as they may be, Castlevania names are hardly the worst out there and like you said, current Square-Enix are a good example...

Not bothered about wether it's using rebooted mythology or not. What I am bothered about is that this plays like a Castlevania game and I hope it plays nothing like Lords of shadow.

If I wanted to play a poor God Of War clone... Well I wouldn't, becuase I would prefer to just go and play God Of War. All the GBA and DS castlevania games were brilliant and some of my favourite games on those systems, I play them all regularly....... I just want more of the same.

I want Castlevania!!!!
