Is that DC-X or something else?

Is Dynamite Cop worth picking up? I've been watching gameplay vids but can't decide.

Personally I think Dynamite Cop is rubbish but at the same time superb fun!

Makes no sense but well work picking up!

Its weird how much better I think Die Hard Arcade is, despite them being pretty much the same (DC is the 2nd game, w/o Bruce license this time).

Its worth it to pick up but not the PAL version unless you have a DC-X or Codebreaker for 60hz.

My mate told me Codebreaker would be the disc to force VGA but it hasn't worked

There's not much to Dynamite Cop but I kinda like it. Reeks of old school Sega arcade

BASS is pretty much just a VGA compatible mapped rom

I thought DC-X was the VGA boot disc to get. Codebreaker does force 60hz in virtually every game, thats why I used it back then. Even PAL VF3 just went to 60hz mode which was great as its much better than the rushed JP version. WinCE games like SR2 also booted 60. Something GameShark etc did not do.

Codebreaker was ridiculously easy to find for free, unlike DC-X.

Dynamite Cop is class. Any game that lets you use a big fish as an offensive weapon is ok in my book.

I'll have to have a look for DC-X, I spent much of last night tinkering with Elfin Lies which is a NSFW Beats of Rage mode but despite some clunkiness seems to be one of the more extensive ones with a full animated intro, soundtrack, full sprites, cutscenes etc.

Also, after being unable to get a decent, reasonably priced english language version of D2 I managed to get a copy up and running

I found an ebay seller selling unboxes but new VMU's, 3 for ?8. They're the transparent coloured ones too so black, green and blue mixed so bought 6.

That Elfen Lied game looks atrocious!

It's pretty much the same from a gameplay sense as all the other BOR games but I like that they made a proper effort to put priduction values to it (even if its relying on the nudity). I've got Crisis Evil as well which looks brill.

Its pretty poor imo and not a patch on Die Hard Arcade . I also think Zombie Revenge is rather poor too, even if it does features some of the best graphics on the DC

I love all these High Resolution VGA screen captures, it makes me really sad that the majority of games pre-2005 will be perpetually stuck in non-widescreen, non HD glory.

Dynamite Cop is a bit of a cult game on Dreamcast, the cut scenes are truly epic. If you have a Dreamcast, it is worth picking up.

Sounds like Dynamite Cop is worth picking up then.

                              What's wrong with Zombie Revenge?

Just started playing Alone in the Dark. I have mixed feelings about this game. On the one hand it looks lovely and the way the torch illuminates the prerendered backdrops is really nice. Unfortunately though the combat is truly shocking. The animation for shooting your weapon is as rough as hell, and I'm not too keen on the enemy design - they look like onions with legs. Also, the sound has been compressed to ****. I can't hear anything. At first I thought I had a duff copy, but no, it's just the overly compressed audio.

I don't mind Zombie Revenge but like Canon Spike it's hard to play for very long as there's not much to it.
