I thought DC-X was the VGA boot disc to get. Codebreaker does force 60hz in virtually every game, thats why I used it back then. Even PAL VF3 just went to 60hz mode which was great as its much better than the rushed JP version. WinCE games like SR2 also booted 60. Something GameShark etc did not do.
Codebreaker was ridiculously easy to find for free, unlike DC-X.Last edited by saturn-gamer; 12-06-2012, 18:55.

I'll have to have a look for DC-X, I spent much of last night tinkering with Elfin Lies which is a NSFW Beats of Rage mode but despite some clunkiness seems to be one of the more extensive ones with a full animated intro, soundtrack, full sprites, cutscenes etc.
Also, after being unable to get a decent, reasonably priced english language version of D2 I managed to get a copy up and running
I found an ebay seller selling unboxes but new VMU's, 3 for ?8. They're the transparent coloured ones too so black, green and blue mixed so bought 6.

Sounds like Dynamite Cop is worth picking up then.

Just started playing Alone in the Dark. I have mixed feelings about this game. On the one hand it looks lovely and the way the torch illuminates the prerendered backdrops is really nice. Unfortunately though the combat is truly shocking. The animation for shooting your weapon is as rough as hell, and I'm not too keen on the enemy design - they look like onions with legs. Also, the sound has been compressed to ****. I can't hear anything. At first I thought I had a duff copy, but no, it's just the overly compressed audio.Last edited by Kit; 13-06-2012, 18:42.
