It absolutely is if they can pull a Skyrim (i.e., no effort on their part other than marketing re-releases).

      If I'm reading this right:

We should all have £2k+ pcs with 30TF

We should be happy for devs to put out half arsed games because capitalism

We should let the modders fix all the problems

If you love your hobby enough and don't want to be held back by consoles, yes.

No, we shouldn't be happy, but unfortunately those are the cards that are dealt time and time again.

Yes, that's the only possible realistic outcome due to point #2.

Bit of an exageration, no? For a start an RTX-ready gaming PC isn't a hundred times more expensive than a console. Especially not if you're merely upgrading.

I take it you live in Chelsea and vote Tory.
Maybe... And this is a MASSIVE maybe... But maybe people can't afford a PC and upgrade it.

And you GENUINELY believe that a working class family can buy one of these? You live in that world do you?

If they can afford a PS5/XSX then why not?

                      No, they can't. Cyberpunk2077 is a PS4 game.
Maybe (and again, this will blow your mind) there are people out there that saved for months to be able to buy a 2nd hand PS4 from CEX and expect a PS4 game to actually work.
Your answer to this is that they should have bought a £1000 pc and used Mods to get it working?

Ah yes, the hallmarks of a gaming enthusiast!

Everybody expected a **** sandwich on last-gen hardware, arguably one that tasted a lot better than was ultimately served, but still... Your arguments here are farcical. Poverty-stricken families should be concerned with greater matters over Cyberpunk's performance on consoles.

The idea that the only realistic outcome in a capitalist society is that games must be finished by volunteer modders is, to put it mildly, bonkers.

                            Ah, OK...

You can only play games and expect games to work if you are a true gaming enthusiast. If you only play on ps4s you are not an enthusiast.
If you live on the breadline, **** you for wanting a console and a game.

PS5 & SeriesX are MORE than powerful enough to run Cyberpunk at 60fps with most effects on that matter, CDproject just aren’t up to the task of organising it and testing it, more to the point they couldn’t be bothered, which really is the crux here.

To be fair, I'd put the blame more on executive management than the devs.

In terms of horsepower that new Unreal5/Matrix thing chugs along at 30fps and under. Expectations need to be in firmly kept check when dealing with £500 all-in-one AMD boxes. Even a high-end PC with the top-spec AMD card is a far cry from the RTX suite's capabilities.

It's not an idea, it's reality.
