Starwars 1313 - (Possibly Next Gen)

Looking at the following video I can't see how this game can be done on current gen machines.

Although not quite as impressive as Watch Dog it's still pretty impressive looking. Maybe a WiiU exclusive?

Well he said that's running on a high end PC, so there's no way the current gen consoles could do something to that level without seriously scaling back what was going on.

Can the WiiU do that? I'd love it to be true, but right now there's a lot of mixed messages from developers about how powerful it is (some say more powerful than current gen, some say it isn't, some say it's only a bit more).

Current console versions will obviously not look like that. Game looks like uncharted in space. That's a good or bad thing depending on your point of view

Nice how the explosion arranged those covers there so conveniently.

Graphics look amazing, nice to get a more darker SW game after all the Clone Wars rubbish.

Not sure how this could be considered a Wii-U console. Talk is suggesting that the console is slightly less powerful than a 360 and PS3 as opposed to slightly more. Nintendo have done nothing to deny this, instead talking about how graphics don't make the experience.

If this is a next game, maybe the next gen consoles should have been announced first. Sony and Microsoft have both confirmed that no new hardware is being unveiled.

This looks great! Skeptical about how good it will actually look, but I'm all for it so far.

Yeah, definitely Uncharted in space. If graphics and scripted action events is all the game has to offer, I'll pass.

Isn't Uncharted the pinnacle of modern gaming judging by the reviews and general opinion? Yet, if a Star Wars game goes for a similar, cinematic action game style, it's suddenly boring?

Oh yeah, judging by the concept art this seems to take place in the original trilogy/Empire time. Another good sign for the game.

To me it is. I feel restricted in that sort of game where you're simply going through the motions. I want to explore, discover, solve and have a fear of failure in my games. None of which is present in that type of game. But as you say, the general population loves it, so it's financially sound to make more of the type.

Well I reckon uncharted is boring now. Just my opinion but the action blockbuster has had its day IMO. Naughty dog were there right on time. This seems from what I've seen to be an attempt to replicate the commercial and critical success that Uncharted has had but with even better graphics and in star wars universe. In theory it can't fail, but if it is what it appears to be then I'm not interested anymore.

Fair enough. I would have rather had KotOR 3, but I still wouldn't write this off when there's so little info on this new game.

It's modern day Lucasarts, complete, utter failure is ALWAYS an option.

That's been the general criticism of 90% of the games shown yesterday

I read that this could be starring Boba Fett as the player character. In any case the current character is just a place holder.
