I have to say I really do like the look of this game, why Nintendo choose to ignore it on their conference is anybody's guess. There is a nice Stage Demo over at Gamespot: http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6380810...012-stage-demo If this is a launch title then my interest in the WiiU has gone up a little

Excellent gameplay videoThanks Crocky it saved me looking for a vid! This has become the game of E3 for me, closely followed by Rayman as we already knew about that. I see little things here and there that remind me of their other games such as the cape from the lead hero resembling the one Viewtiful Joe has.

To comment on your original post - I have no idea why Nintendo ignored this in their presentation when instead they gave a lot of air time to their casual party game NintendoLand. Even at the start of the conference Reggie was saying how there wasn't enough time to show lots of stuff (even though he made this speech last ages when all he was doing was repeating what Iwata said the night before pre-E3) and mentioned they had 23 games to show...why not include this gem?

I'm guessing Nintendo felt it would require time to explain and didn't want to commit as at a glance it does appear quite Pikminesque and they'd want to keep their own title in people's minds first. It's a shame though, as people said, Nintendo wasted the time they could have used for games.

Really impressed with this. I like how you can recruit citizens into your 'hero group' - didn't one of them have a toilet on his head?xD
Also, liked the way the road broke apart and became a platform - it just looks pure fun.
Not sure however, if this and Tank Tank Tank are enough for me to buy the system at launch.

Loving the miniature-style focus effect in this and Pikmin(and also Lego LOTR on 360 I saw). All this time I was considering the Wii-U in relation the 360/PS3/next-gen and completely forgetting what its power(however 'meagre' some claim it to be) will mean for these sorts of games.
Unlike with FPSes and the like, I'm not watching these videos looking for graphical issues(like the hilarious shadows in Far Cry 3), just with my jaw on the floor.
