Although it could work nicely for them, I do feel that Free to Play, Subscription Only and 69p App Gaming will never work or only for the select few that can lead the way. I think Retail Discs will continue to work for the next decade and Digital Purchasing will get stronger to become the leading method of purchasing as online infrastructure gets more reliable.
