Funnily enough I bought 3 US SNES consoles and 2 Super Famicoms from Secondhand Land back in the day for ?25 the lot.
It was because they were all faulty and the image was washed out.
They were using a UK RGB lead in them with no resistors.

Regret selling my console collection a couple of years back, especially the SNES stuff.

I remember when my local Virgin Megastore was clearing out all of its Neo Pocket stuff. They had several copies of Evolution and both Dive Alerts sat on the shelf for a tenner each. Had I been wearing my special psychic y-fronts that day, I'd have brought the lot. Oh well.

I always regretted selling my first Neo Geo AES collection, and now I want the PC Engine back too.

+ Buying a copy of Terriangama in Grainger games for ?5 new in the early 00's

I still do alright with Day 1's but I don't get as many and rely a lot on trades so I'm not spending anywhere near as much. Since moving my available time to play them is too little. Might get Spiderman this week but skipping Spec Ops and Ratchet

+Buying my JP PS2, even at ?500 it was worth it as I still use it now.
+Buying my 3DS Zelda edition. Stunning machine.
+Buying my second and hopefully final US SNES in a mini midlife crisis last year!
+Buying The 3rd Birthday despite low ratings. Amazing game.
+Winning a free Zelda Skyward Sword.

-Selling my first US SNES with pretty much all the best games for ?500.
-Selling my N64 with 40+ mint boxed games for tiny amounts of cash.
-Buying Namco Soccer Prime Goal on PS1 on my 16th birthday because ISS Pro was delayed. I felt sick.

                      - selling NES, pads, Zapper and games. All of them. Sigh.
                      - selling a lot of SNES games
                      - importing games just because they looked cute (hi Neptunia)
                      - starting franchises with bad games: for example playing Castleviania II on the NES left me unwilling to play any other Castlevania game

+ keeping some of those SNES games...
+ getting different HOTASes and rudder pedals
                      + XRGB-3 and XRGB-mini
                      + Mario 64
                      + Mechwarrior 2
                      + BlazBlue
+ VGP. Or the willingness to use a credit card in online stores
+ support arm with full-range rotation for my main monitor

                        - Wasting 40 hours of my life on the rubbish that is "Fallout" 3 before realising it wouldn't get any better.

                          - Importing a Phat DS at launch.
                          - Buying the above from Game Focus for a massively inflated price.
                          - Same with the PSP

Biggest regret was selling my SNES collection (60+ plus games) to fund my Saturn adventure in 1994 , which ironically is also my best ever gaming investment, Close 2nd would be throwing out (not even selling ) my ZX Spectrum 128+ and most of my games for it.

                            Best Gaming choices ....

Meeting up with Lee (Dream Machines, Dreamware ) and getting into contact with some of his customs like Van, Phily, CMck, Harley, Big Ed, Goldsmith, Press Start , Kats ECT and enjoying at the times the best Import and game prices/service in the UK

                            Buying my Import Saturn

Finally getting a Wondermega and Multi Mega

Never selling anything from my Mega CD and Saturn collection

Taking a chance on Lunar the Silver Star on the Mega CD

                            Panzer Dragoon

Being talked into buying Souky .

My biggest regret is finishing Fallout 3 after 55 hours, leaving some side quests forever unfinished. I wish I'd done them all.
