There's plenty of good import-only PS3 titles available. Aquanauts Holiday, Afrika, Wangan Midnight, Railfan(s), Under Defeat, Mamoru-kun etc. There's even more also. Some are available in English via R3's too. All region-free.

I was of the opinion these were the two genres most importers cared about as they are English language friendly. There are however tons of strategy and RPG based games not available in here, but no I don't follow them particularly because I don't speak Japanes. If you go to Play-Asia though and click on 360 and then click on Japan region games you will see loads of them. Seriously there's loads.
You asked for 3 non bullet hell impots, so here's a few off the top of my head:
Raiden Fighters Aces
Raiden 4
Zoids Alternative
Virtual On 4
Operation Darkness
Shooting Love
Zegapain XOR (there was a second game, perhaps called NOT?)
Phantom Breaker
Spectral Force 3
Culdcept Saga
Senko No Ronde 2
Under Defeat
Machi-ing Maker 4
The idea that 360 imports are all about Cave is very wrong.
And isn't there a region free version of VO4 sure I saw one at VGI I probably am very wrong though
Guess I'm just not as hardcore as I once was

Atlus Responds officially
Friends of ATLUS,
The last week brought with it news that Persona 4 Arena would effectively become the first PlayStation 3 system game to be region-locked. We can today confirm that this is true; the game will be region-locked in all its respective territories of release, and you the consumers are going to like it.
As we’ve ascertained from your impassioned responses online, we the board of directors at ATLUS agree that you consumers are a bunch of goat-blowing parasites, and we will not be swayed by your horse-like whinnying. Bleat all you like, we have region locked, and we will continue to region lock, and you will take it, and you will like it, and you will ask us for more. And we, ATLUS, will oblige.
There are, however, a few points to clarify. This IS the beginning of a new ATLUS policy, and we don't care if it's a precedent or a slippery slope. Let's get this straight, but we are doing this out of malice and a desire to control. We want to control you, all of you, you tiny little ants.
No amount of complaints are going to change our policies or our ways, because we want the money out of your wallets and the gold from your teeth, even if we have to pry it out with a rusted crowbar. Now this whole situation can be made easier if you all just shut up and let us get on with gouging you for money. Right now, the ATLUS CEO, Shinichi Suzuki, and other ATLUS executives are rubbing their thighs furiously with gloves made from 24ct gold and studded with diamonds, and we can only afford such luxuries because you, the gullible proles who buy our crap, continue to accept our enforcements and give us your money.
A tremendous team of talented developers and artists poured their blood, sweat, and tears into Persona 4 Arena, and every reaction we’ve ever received to the game has shown that those efforts are readily apparent. The decision to region-lock P4 Arena was a sexual one, but we ask you to please not overlook the exceptional efforts of the people behind the game and to work with us through abusive dialogue.
Thank you.Last edited by Sketcz; 07-07-2012, 09:25.

Apologists. I can't believe that there are sycophants defending this decision. Of course, it's OK if you're American because you're used to getting almost every game under the sun, and Persona 4 Arena already has a release date there.
Edit: It's also deliciously ironic, considering the moaning that led to "Operation Rainfall".Last edited by Decider-VT; 07-07-2012, 08:39.

If it was just the pissy JPN audio they could have got round it anyway look at the JPN Premium Lollipop Chainsaw. All they had to do was make a limited edition version that had the dual audio and charged the same as the JPN version (like ?55 or whatever it is) and the single track English audio vanilla version at Normal RRP or had the JPN audio as a on disc DLC USA PSN only unlock code ala Capcom it wasn't hard they just didn't try it will be interesting to see the sales figures, I'm guessing no Catherine style cake this timeLast edited by ETC; 07-07-2012, 09:19.
