I swear we're going to region locking for everything else now. Bye bye importing Ni no Kuni from the US, and hello a big delay for a PAL release. Would be hilarious if Ni no Kuni never got a PAL release, and the US version was region locked because of this precedent.

Also, remember Catherine? Game was ****, but the UK only got the PS3 release like a year* later.

Everything else is locked and always has been. There is always a work around.

Such poor reasoning really from Atlus. Personally the game doesn't look worth importing but I know there are BIG Persona fans who will hate the wait, presumably they're suddenly concerned about margins because they are only expecting niche sales.

Don't get me wrong I do understand your frustration but this is just 1game, let's see if they keep their promise up in future.
Atlus can't be a hugely rich company as their games are never mega sellers so personally I can see their reasoning.

For the record, around 85% of my games are NTSC and most are region locked.

I like that they came out and pretty much confirmed the only reason they were locking it was to make money on specific region sales.
