I've spotted the first two movies in that video clip, can't say I've spotted the other two movies...

Strange choice of movie tie in... It's like deciding to make a game on the goonies out of the blue...

The game will feature the first three Rambo films, there's a quick shot of Rambo in the desert (Rambo III) shooting his bow.

Anyone else not think the makers of Far Cry could have done an excellent job of this? Hopefully this will be good though.

Also the first achievement needs to be "First Blood"

Yeah was a top down action affair. Plus those gnarly operation wolf types bits where you have to take down a chopper with a flaming arrow etc.

I'm disappointed by the gameplay trailer. It shows Rambo slitting the throat of one of the sheriff's men. If you watch the film, Rambo actually kills zero people. If they die, it's due to their own stupidity (such as the guy falling off the chopper). By making Rambo an active participant in the killing, it makes hunting him down a viable and natural reaction. It makes him the bad guy. Whereas originally you rooted for him as the anti-hero, because he was being unfairly persecuted.

I'm not normally some kind of moral crusader, but I do think they've taken artistic license a bit too far in this.

Maybe you can choose to kill or do non-lethal takedowns? I think that's how it should be handled in part 1, at least. The trailer shows Rambo doing a judo throw on the deputy in the forest.

Tbf nothing could be more inappropriate than the lightgun game Sega already made. Oh and every movie after the first one LOL.

I find it amusing that anyone would think they would make a Rambo game where you didn't kill people.

I mean, to base it on the first film there would only be about 3 levels, One where you run about in a forest and hide for a bit, then one where you run around a small town and shoot out all the street lights like a lunatic, and then a boss fight where the enemy dies in one hit.

It would probably be funny, but It wouldn't work.

That's the GREATEST thing you've ever said.

I would play that. You could have a PTSD psychosis meter like the insanity gauge in Eternal Darkness.

Agreed (only because I like killing things in games )

In the David Morrell novel First Blood, Rambo does kill some of the Sheriff's men.

This misses Rambo 4? Probably the best suited one for extreme violence?
