    Microsoft rumored to buy Activision?

    Just seen this on CVG

Don't know how much you can believe this but it would be one hell of a statement to the industry if Microsoft were to pull it off. It would most defiantly throw a major spanner in the works for Sony especially with the upcoming Vita game, maybe this could be the reason very little has been revealed about it?

      Ubisoft to buy Microsoft?

      Capcom to buy Tesco?

Come on, try it, it's fun!

Because they sell a lot of games? But I still find strange that MS will cought up that much money to acquire one of the larger (or even the largest?) publishers in the industry, plus I see antitrust not letting this slide easily.

What has got me thinking is would MS ever make back the estimated $10bn or so it would take to buy it? Sure they would get COD and WOW but how longer can both of these go on pulling in the huge revenues they do? COD for starters is really getting dull and running out of ideas, sure it will still sell **** loads but really needs a massive refresh, its getting so stale.

As for World Of Warcraft, as popular as it is its most certainly on the decline in terms of people playing and if the MMO market is fast moving away from the subscription model i would have thought WOW has already pretty much been milked for all its worth. Which really leaves Starcraft and possibly Diablo. Could this just end up being another Rare scenario i.e. buying something after its best years are behind it?

Are you seriously suggesting that Call of Duty Kinect wouldn't sell?
