Decided to treat myself with a new GBA game this weekend and finally give that Wario Ware cart a break.
Advance Wares, then. Now I normally do not like strategy games at all. I'd heard that this game was accessible even to non strategy fans, but that sill didn't pursuade me. Until now.
I should've believed the hype, I should've trusted the Edge review (
). Hell, i should've trusted [i]Ninntendo[i/].
Wow. What a game. Simple, yet devilishly sophisticated, charming and accessible.
Few games vapourise hours like this one, neck bent staring intently into a tiny screen, plotting, strategising, planning, the music never getting annoying...
I'm still finishing off the training levels and I'm having lots of fun. I anticipate many hours of fun with this game and many taxing missions. Another slice of handheld gaming finesse. Any other Advance Wars lovers or (in particular) latecomers out there?
