    Chrome N64s?

Can anybody remember the chroming service that was advertised for consoles back in the old N64 Magazine days? Did anyone every have a console or controller done? It was about ?50 for a console!

Gee. I wonder who around here spends too much time reading old N64 mags. Oh that's right - ME.

The company was called FoxData. It was ?270 for a chrome console, or ?60 to chrome your existing console, plus ?10 shipping. Chrome controllers were ?45.

They look super tacky to me!

Tacky or not, I'd quite like one

I guess it'd look the same as those chrome 360 pads?

If it was actually mirrored chrome it would be cool (apart from the cleaning). That's just silver paint isn't it?

Yes, could you not just whip out a spray can?

The good thing about the N64 was that none of the logos were printed on, they were all either removable or imprints. Therefore you're not painting over the logos.

Yeah, I would just try and do something yourself, the base console is mega cheap, so if you make a mess you can try again or if it is really bad, buy another off ebay.

I like this Famicom type paint job - http://www.instructables.com/image/F...Custom-N64.jpg

Might try one myself some day.

Damn I remember these, I always wanted a blue N64 controller but I was too poor to justify the somewhat wasteful cost.
