Rebellion to Stardock: we own our name

So, it's one of those strange and crazy lawsuits companies open to gain some money for free.

This time Rebellion (the UK developer) is suing Stardock over the word "Rebellion" used in the game "Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion".
The cause is simple: when speaking about "Rebellion" one might think about the game and not the developer...of course the developer holds a trademark over the word "Rebellion" and the court documents points out that several descriptions (including those on Youtube) simply point at the trademarked word, from which Stardock could benefit.

Rebellion (the developer) is asking to stop selling the game, turn over any infringing material, damages and court costs.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion has been out for a month (or even more) and even the development cycle used this name.

Has-been company's pathetic attempt to blackmail money with ridiculous law suit. I hope Rebellion (the developer) loses big time.

Cases like this really irk me. Unless it is deemed to cause confusion to their target audience, then there shouldn't even be a case. Hope Rebellion lose.

What sort of idiot name is Rebellion anyway? If you pick a sensible name, you're never gonna find yourself in court because Ford have called their new model the Banpresto.
        Kept you waiting, huh?
