I think the smell is a clever policy like how supermarkets pump out the smell of baking bread, The smell of of pungent stale bo has been proven by games internal scientist to loosen the wallets of gamers by a factor of up to 90% and at high doses is capable of knocking out people so they can try and hard sell you console bundels .

In Birmingham we still have 3 GS and only 1 Game (I think) I have only made 3 purchases from GAME in my life, original Xbox as only they had any, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg on GC as only they had it and a Dual Shock 3 as only they had any. I spot a theme.
Always had a complete aversion to GAME for some reason even though it was the same company as GS so will probably use the nearby Blockbuster. Seeing as Blockbuster actually have slightly better prices these days on most games it will be a good idea anyway!

Then EB merged with Game and they visually became much more like EB, that store closed and they all seemed to go bargain basement. I wish we had a classy game shop back.Last edited by Dogg Thang; 16-09-2012, 07:12.

People still buy games in the highstreet stores, amazing!
I remember Gamestation in Hull before it relocated, my god that place did smell! full of scallies. The new store across the road is actually reasonable, pretty big, but the prices for new items are crazy.
I always thought Gamestation was very scummy, GAME however seemed more upmarket, Mummy and Daddy buying little Jonny the latest overpriced game sort of store.
The last time I used Game was just for trading my 3DS in, I never buy games from any of them now.
