icontrolpad 2 kickstarter (opensource bluetooth controller)

New controller from the people behind the Pandora handheld and the original icontrolpad, game controls and a keyboard this time.

I use the original icontrolpad all the time for emulators, so this new product looks interesting.

Nice little gadget. Mobile gaming is useless without physical controls, so this looks a nice fix.

For the price of it, you could get a PSP though.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

How much is it? I only watched the vid and didn't see it mentioned?

$69 for the controller only, $75 for boxed unit.

I mean, it's just a generic bluetooth device basically - I wouldn't pay anywhere near that much.

Daylight robbery. ?20 would be the upper limit of what I'd expect to pay for a device such as too.

Is such a thing plug and play? I don't faff around with drivers.

I presume it needs to be used with a jailbroken device, as for the price that's the downside of non mass produced electronics.

Great idea but what is with the execution? I'd say either go for game controls OR a keyboard and not all in the one device. That prototype looks cramped, tacky and basic... no way in hell would I pay that much for it.

I prefer that PowerA Moga thing for Android. It at least looks like a home-style game controller in terms of overall ergonomics. Having a keyboard built in as well just reduces its efficiency as a game controller and vice versa.

That's...a funky piece of kit. Not really liking the price tag either though.

If you want a decent Bluetooth pad then buy the onlive one. It's meant for onlive but works as generic Bluetooth game pad. Cheaper and better than this overpriced tat

                            Would that work with iPad?
