Is Dosbox still best to run old PC Games

Hey guys,

Not sure if this should be here, the PC Section or even the Retro forum but I was just wondering if DOS Box is still the best way to run old PC games??

I was digging through the storage unit yesterday looking for some stuff & I found my old PC games & I really fancy revisiting some of my old point & click on the Laptop but need to find th best way to play them

So is Dosbox the way forward or is there anything better these days?

Yeah DOSBox is still a good un plenty of good guides out there for compatibility, also SCUMMvm for the scumm games of course.
Was playing Gabriel Knight the other night via DOSBox on Windows 8, didn't have any major issues, yet.

Downloaded it last night, now I just need to grab the games out of storage
