Unsurprisingly, a new Mass Effect game is in the works.

The development will be taken over by BioWare Montreal where as the first trilogy was made by the original team, BioWare Edmonton. BW Montreal has worked on some ME DLC and made the multiplayer mode for ME3.

The new game will run on Battlefield 3's Frostbite engine.

I wonder if this is going to be a prequel title or set in the far future from Shepard's adventures. Didn't the

mass relays get destroyed at the end of ME3 effectively ending large scale space travel
