Year ago, I bought Minecraft 360 and when I upgraded to the One, I also had the One Edition, which is pretty generous.
I'd been tinkering with a world, showing my son how it works, but to be honest, it still blows my mind how simultaneously pointless and engrossing it is (I went to bed after midnight on a school night, d'oh.)
I'd been doing my usual starting stuff:
Build a small glass house with crafting table, furnace and trunk.
Build a tower as high as possible next to water near the glass house.
Put torches at the top and jump off into the water so you've got a totem to find your house.
I started exploring after building a boat and I'm still finding new things.
There was some kind of underwater temple, complete with sentries that zapped me and reduced my mining speed. Turns out, if you get to the bottom, there's treasure in the temple - exciting!
Also, it generated a small town of people, that the original 360 version never did.
I don't get how the map works though, as I was way beyond the edge, but I was still in the corner of the map.
Are maps infinite on the One version?
Bit gutted as I died and lost all my stuff and I couldn't find where I'd died as it was off-map.
