Just as a tip, you don't need to actually go to bed unless you want to save or heal. Took me a while to work that one out, obviously too much Harvest Moon.

Snatched this off Play-Asia's daily sale. Been looking at it for a while so I jumped on it.
Probably not a big bargain but great games all around. Shameful, but I've only completed MGS2. I can't remember why I never finished MGS. I probably started playing something more interesting. Well, now I'm at Gunner. How do you fight against a tank with only the few armaments at my disposal? That's the beauty of this game, isn't it?

Only thing that stopped me buying another is that damned component cable. Can't game without RGB. So I went PAL.
I thought it was all hardware based not emulated a la EU/US PS3 backwards compatibility
EDIT: Nice haul btw!

But I'm the kind of person that plays PlayStation games on a PlayStation instead of a PlayStation 2.

I've noticed that my PlayStation 2 has worse image quality than both my SCPH-1000 and SCPH-5500 in PlayStation games - although you wouldn't immediately notice it in all games. The Brazil stage in Tekken 3 demonstrates this best.
I've read the Wii's component output is pathetic and cheap compared to that of the GameCube, but that's as you take it. You're not going to notice it without a strict direct comparison (Digital Foundry style) - though I've read people insist that the Cube looks much better on shmups and NeoGAF too.
Plus I like not having to faff around with a Wii remote to get my game going. Yes, I know you can install custom firmware to circumvent this but I'd rather just use my Cube.
I'll get a Wii eventually for Wii games as I'm not too happy playing my Wii games on my Wii U right now. Messy console that Wii is.
