Pretty much, they use 3D fmv for the visuals and controls very similar to the dende games. As you play you unlock tourist information about the route which you can view in 3D as well. They are fun games if you like train stuff, shame Taito stopped making densha games last one was on wii and goes for a lot of money nowdays, the controller even more. Would have loved a WiiU one.

I never looked into it much as it looks very complex in Japanese, i struggle pretty hard with sim city style games in Japanese as there is always a lot of kanji. Took me ages to figure out how to get around the conveni, is it worth the effort to get into those A train games? there is also that tower game that looked interesting but the kanji scared me off that one.

That would be great if i had time to do such a thing however i work in microbiology & my job doesn't allow me a rigid timetable to be able to take classes, with the hours and days that i work i'd always be missing classes.
Easier & more convinient to just teach myself, plus games are a fun way of learning as it's interactive and not just boring repeating crap from a book when i have picked up phrases or words from games i usually remember the exact scenario that i first learnt the word it helps me remember. Don't think i have ever chosen a game first for how difficult it is in Japanese i just choose the games i like. I don't blindly buy a game that may be too steep a language level for me to manage, what would be the point in doing that. I'm careful with what i buy and do my homework in how complex the language barrier is hence all the Japanese games i own are ones i have been able to enjoy & completeLast edited by importaku; 09-08-2015, 12:03.
