I've recently change my Tate arcade emulation set up.
I was originally using a Pi 4 but it just wasn't powerful enough for many of the newer and surprisingly some of the older game too.

So, a while back Ayaneo sent over one of their mini PCs for review. It's been sitting on the shelf doing bugger all for about 6 months so finally it was put to good use.
It runs a very clean Windows 11 in 4K resolution but I've knocked that down for this set up as the monitor can't do 4K but can go higher than 1080p.

The speakers are cool Creative Pebble speakers with the optional Sub Woofer (below on the floor). These small yet powerful speakers are great for arcade gaming. I fully recommend them but be sure to get the woofer pack - https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The stick I've shown before. It's the one I made with he Brook hardware inside and fully Sanwa parts.

Looks awesome with the CRT filers on

Nice stuff I've got one of those screens does 1600x1200 great to have a 20" in that aspect so many are actually 5:4. Mothballed at the min need to put it to use, what arcade emulator is this mini pc running?

They're great monitors aren't they! So sharp, much sharper than my modern LG Ultra Wide that I use for my main PC. No HDMI in though but that's easily fixed with a cheap adapter.

The PC is running the latest MAME via Launch box. Works really well with all menus and even windows running in Tate mode.
I'm going to add Final Burn as well as that handles a few games better than MAME. Thing is, then I need to set up Launch box to use Final Burn for a select set of games. Pain in the arse but doable.
The only issue I currently have is that I can't navigate Launch box via the joystick so I'm also using a mouse. I wonder if stick navigation is hidden behind the paid version of Launch box?
