I think the sticks are really nice actually, much better than the PSP nub (which I personally hated). They're small, but they need to be. I find them quite natural to use though, whereas the PSP Nub always felt like it would snap off at any moment. I think the Vita sticks are a decent compromise given that full-size sticks would be a poor choice for a portable device.

Well my Vita arrived today, almost forgot how nicely made they are. And man can you pick up the games cheap if you shop around. Virtua tennis, probably the game I played the most last time I had one only ?4.99 inc shipping brand new! The system came with a pile of games (some I have zero interest in) but I've ordered a pile more which will come this week, so should keep me busy when I work away on monday for two weeks, it was boring as hell in the hotel last week. Had a quick look at DOA 5 and it looked stunning, as did the JSR demo which I quickly downloaded. Resistance played really well from the quick blast I had, I see it got slated but I can only imagine that's because they're putting it on par with home systems? Anyway, good stuff.

Resistance is SO BAD. Don't even play it. And don't even think about buying CoD. The only good FPS (if it can even be called that) on Vita is Stranger's Wrath.

I just picked up another Vita myself. News of a new version of Tempest was enough for me to cobble together some trade fodder and hit cex at the weekend. Downloaded Virtue's Last Reward, Ridge Racer Ultimate Pack and Velocity Ultra last night ... Should be enough to keep me going for a while. Might try Virtua Tennis if it's that good, where did you find it so cheap Colin?

I've been using my Vita a fair bit recently, albeit playing PS1 games (Grandia). Still, the machine really is a lovely bit of kit. Nice analogue sticks, really nice LED screen that looks better than my TV bar the size, even has decent speakers. The D-Pad it the best one I think I've come across in official terms since the Saturn.

A shame about the obscenely priced memory cards.

Gravity Rush is annoying the crap out of me at the moment. The disorientation hasn't been a problem up to now but suddenly I'm getting owned by the Navi trying to escape because I keep losing track of where i am.

Persona 4 is my favourite Vita game. But certainly if RPGs aren't your thing, then obviously you won't like it!
