Do we forget that Sega have never had a really successfull console place in Japan? Megadrive, Saturn & Dreamcast all got their ass handed to them their despite how good they were.

    I like the idea though.

If... and it's a big if... MS don't over focus on Kinect 2 they really need to up the exclusives next gen and increase their push in Europe. There's not much they can do about Japan but they've lost tons of ground to Sony in Europe despite the head start and without that backing they're too dependent on a single market.

I'm interested to see what the reliability rates of NextBox, and to a lesser extent, PS4 will be like.

Not that it seemed to stop people from buying 360s but if the tech is going to be that much more expensive it could shirt sales if there's another RROD type issue.

ALL eyes are on MS surely even they will not be oblivious to this? like they were RROD.
First failure will get HUGE PRESS for new Xbox something they can't afford this coming generation, hell even WiiU's were getting slated for having errors and highlights were shown of slow UI loads.
People will pick them apart much more rapidly than before, MS is to blame for that with the entire RROD issue.

Marty g nails it for me, as an xbox guy since the start, ms has me worried more than ever in the gaming consumer sense.

Nintendo will outsell everything else, and will have better exclusives by far.

The PS4 will come with Ridge and Unchartered. The Xbox720 will come with Halo and Gears. That will be the only difference between the two.

I wonder...wasn't the existence of an online infrastructure one of the reasons that Cave struck a deal with MS? If it's that important to them they'll probably go for the PS4, if Nintendo doesn't step up their online plans.

Didn't cave strike a deal because it was simply the cheaper market to develop for?
This time next year there probably won't be a Cave anyway.

The only real opinion i have about next gen, is that it will not be so clear cut.

I can see some big surprises and big failures.
