I love a bit of Steam, but wondered if there are any cheaper/different alternatives that I might browse also?

I use http://savygamer.co.uk/category/deals/pc/ to keep track of offers. Seems like there's lots of different ones that often have good deals, though I never really browse. Off the top of my head, amazon.com, greenmangaming, getgamesgo, simplygames, gamespot.com are all ones worth looking at.

http://www.greenmangaming.com/ is a great one, because if you check their blog they almost always have a 25% off discount code that can be used on games in addition to the discount they are already applying. Many of their games are Steam codes, too.

http://www.gog.com/ are DRM-free ans thus have a smaller selection of newer games, but the best place for older games.
