Densha de go the next gen, hehe this is awesome

Oh Japan, why do you have the most fun arcade machines there is, hehe ever wanted to pretend you were the driver of a toy train? What do you mean NO!

Well anyway your wish can come true. theres an arcade that has cameras on the front of the toy trains in a huge train set so you can see as if you were in the drivers cab, hehe it's like densha de go for teeny tiny people.

    WANT!

I would also like to remove that "person's" vocal chords. Possibly with a spatula.

I must admit her japanese sounds extremely weird.

I had that idea when I was a kid, however that track is a bit **** (still, much better than mine when I was a kid).

They should do one real big ****-off set that spans the entire mall. That'd be ace.

Each location that has one apparently has a different layout.

Sadly Golgo i do not, i only knew of it's existance from the something awful forums game center cx thread. Maybe Yakumo has seen one during his arcade visits?

It's silly but it's weird fun, Japan has so many games like this. One of the reasons i love game center cx is the visits to arcades & dagashi-ya places where he plays stange old coin flipping games & other odd arcade games.

Another video of the same lady playing it

I remember hearing when I was a kid that the most expensive arcade machine was a kind of Scalextric with cameras on the car.

I could've been made up by the kid telling me as he also claimed his Dad invented Pogs.

There's a big model railway at Thomas Land at Drayton Manor, but, alas, there are no cameras mounted on his nose.

                That video is brilliant though!

I played on a frigging amazing machine in the Sega arcade I think it was. It's like a UFO catcher, but instead of the crane, you control a small bipedal robot walking around inside the glass box. You need to pick up the prizes and carry them over to the drop box. He had a move that allowed him to get back up after falling, but it was time consuming, and you have a timer counting down! Never managed to win anything, but great fun!

                  EDIT: ZOMG here it is!

I have indeed seen one of those train games and the real fish one and a lobster one too!! They have the train one in the Kyushu Railway History Museum that I drive past every day on the way to work. They even have a mini railway featuring mini scaled models of real Japanese trains that you drive around the track. It's a bit of a squeeze to get in them as they are meant for kids but they are pretty fun. Official homepage - http://www.k-rhm.jp/index.html

Check out the mini trains that you can drive!!

By the way, I think that woman is slightly handicapped. Her Japanese and way of speaking sort of resembles that.

Fairplay, I thought she was just putting it on. I retract my previous statement involving a spatula.
