Name some PS3 exclusives

Ok - arcade games:

Time Crisis 4 and Razing Storm (which comes with the excellent deadstorm pirates). Requires either Move or a Guncon 4 though
Super Stardust HD - Twin stick shooter that looks and sounds incredible and is also pretty tough
Shatter - Breakout clone with utterly brilliant music
Flower - Relaxing :-)
Ridge Racer 7
The Last Guy - Lead groups of survivors to extraction points whilst avoiding zombies. Top down perspective.

I won a PS3 but have played more PS2 games on it!

I'm going to bookmark this thread for when the next gen's games require a season pass and come in five exciting DLC chunks.

I got swept up in J0e's RR7 hype-mobile and picked up the second game about aliens attacking earth.

I've borrowed the first Uncharted, but need to get off the tutorial boat section as I'm finding the shooting clunky and would rather be doing some Lara-style exploring.

I also got a Pirates of the Caribbean game when I won it, but I never opened it!

The thing with uncharted might come down to how many you've played maybe? I loved 1 & 2 but not 3 but i think I was just burned out with them. There's not much game there really.

I also was thinking of the Vita game when I posted though as that is even duller. By UC3 I was just tired of the formula whereas Golden Abyss I didn't feel like I was really even playing.

I thought Uncharted was a beautiful looking but hollow game, especially as Tomb Raider Underworld was released at the same time & that was the better game.

Despite the original Uncharted being an unfulfilled promise, it was Uncharted 2 where it became what it was trying all along. An action packed & beautiful story led adventure game. Uncharted 2 changed everything & it remains one of this generations very best games. Uncharted 3 felt more of the same except with less memorable locations and worse pacing. It's by no means bad but after Uncharted 2, Naughty Dog should of been on the ball, this felt like Uncharted 2 had exhausted them.

In my mind, the original is not very good, Uncharted 2 is a barnstormer & Uncharted 3 is using all the ideas Naughty Dog dropped whilst making number 2. Just buy Uncharted 2 & you're golden.

Ok so lunch time perusing.

I notice the PS3 has a line of "essentials" bargain games here. They retail around $24.99 but most places do a 2 for $40 offer which isn't bad. Both GOW3 and Killzone 2 are in those deals.

Then pre-owned I've seen GOW3 for $19, Killzone 2 for $17!, Killzone 3 for $26, Resistance 3 for $19 and Uncharted 3 for $44.

Now given the price differences I'd rather buy new on some titles but interestingly none of the Uncharted games are on sale new in any shops I went into. Bit miffed about that. I did find out a mate still has Uncharted1 so I've got my first rental free. The next interesting thing is apparently Uncharted 3 is going to become an essentials release in early March so will drop to $24.99?

As such I think I may pick up GOW3 tomorrow, grab Uncharted and then shop around for a few others. I think I really want to play all 3 Uncharted games in an uninterrupted sequence. Killzone I am still unsure about. GOW... I know the two earlier games are HD remakes but are they "worth" tracking down as they seem to be scarce here?

The weird thing is... Not many exclusive titles on sale here in Sydney in the actual shops. I guess they're keepers for most people or simply don't resell well?

how has no one mentioned God of War III!! Great game! If you havent played any of the others the HD collections are worth getting too - God of War games are phenominal!

Also Resistance 3 (you can skip the other 2, but 3 is just a blast!)

As for Uncharted I loved them all - But more free-flowing gameplay with tighter controls for the next version please...

Yeah R3 is the best console single player FPS this generation. Not tried multiplayer.
