Xbox Live demanding my contact details

So, I have three accounts (Euro, US and Japanese), and yesterday they demanded more contact details.

It's bad enough I need to have 30+ email accounts, but I first managed to cross link every existing Microsoft account with some other account, but never crossing with each other, thereby maintaining my deception of living in three different countries. All because those ****eswine insisted I give them alternate ways of contacting me (clue: I don't WANT to be contacted!).

Yesterday, they wanted more details. Either a phone number or texting number.

For the Euro account I gave my actual phone number and it finally allowed me to log on and access the store.

But now, what about the Japanese and US accounts? Some of those have exclusive indie games, demos and DLC. Can I just pop my French number in for that automated call and access code?

Or if I do that, will it switch my Japanese account to a Euro one? Because that's bull****. You can't access Japanese symbols when searching, meaning indie games and demos which ONLY have Japanese text, can NEVER be accessed. EVER.

I never have this **** with Sony and PSN. I logged in once, years ago, and they never **** me around with phone calls, texting or alt emails. Christ, I've never even had landlords that **** me around this badly.

I just want to lie about who I am, where I live, and deceptively log on to an account I should not have, and BE LEFT THE **** ALONE ABOUT IT MICROSOFT!!!

    So...

How do I circumvent security and get access to my Japanese account again? Give them a French phone number? What are my options...?

30 email addresses? Who's after you?

It's to prevent spam, hacking and to keep track. I have one for each PSN, one for each XBL, one for PayPal, one for eBay, one for general use, one for work, one for FB, Youtube, Twitter, et al, one for MENSA, and so on and so forth.

Anyway, how can I re-activate my JPN account? Will a French phone number work? Or will it default to France? I absolutely NEED that JPN account, because it's the only way to access content with Japanese characters.

Just press cancel and login as normal!
If you read it properly, it's not mandatory.

          Thanks for the suggestion.

But are you sure? I recall hitting cancel to get out of it, but it just took me to the dashboard as a guest user. It allowed me to view the store, but not under the previously chosen profile.

          The only options were:
          Add Email
          Add Phone
          Add Text

In that order. At the top of the screen it listed the emails already connected to the account. I don't recall the ability to cancel and log in with the Japanese account.

I'll try again a bit later and report back at some point (unless I forget).

Ah I might be mistaken. Something popped up for me yesterday on my main account, but I ignored it.

Probably a good idea tbh. I only run 3 myself.

Sorry, my info was duff. It asked me again yesterday and refused to allow me in until I had done the email stuff.

Nope, it was right. I logged in last night. On the Japanese account it asked, I clicked cancel, and the dash loaded up without an account (anonymous). So I tried to sign in again, and I again clicked cancel, it let me through. I downloaded a new indie game off the Japanese market place.

It seemed to work after cancelling twice in a row.

Microsoft really have fallen off the cliff recently and after what use to be a good service.

I'm having issues with them not sorting this out, they won't accept that it's a market place issue.

Which leads to a hefty ?36,793,552.87 price tag

                    Grr.

Do it from your download history.

I can't - this is the battle I'm currently having with Xbox Support - they could very simply add an entry into a database so that I could but I'm just banging my head against a wall here.

LOL, I saw that on your blog. That's quite steep.

Sorry, I know it's really annoying for you but that price got a right laugh out of a few people here. Maybe the price is because they're including all the DLC?

It looks like they've taken it all down, there are only 2 bits of DLC left when there should be loads and loads

                              the demo is also missing
