It might as well be mainlined into my veins for how hyped I'll be snuggled up in my armchair playing this on my Wii U controller screen.

As far as RPGs go it's not even that great, can't say it's worth waiting 20 years for. Still better late than never if anyone has a dying urge to play it.

This is just Wii U not Wii virtual console I believe. They should release it on Wii VC too it'd be a nice send off for the service

When they say it's coming to europe, I wonder if they mean UK. I can't see them bothering to localise it to EFIGS

It's funny how Nintendo fans get hyped over this game. As Importaku said, it's not even that good. I mean it's OK but not worth hyping. I could name 10 far better SFC / SNES RPG games. Fair point that many never made it in to English but one that did would be Lufia 2.

I can't get hyped about a VC release. I might as well play it on PC.

It was criticised as out of date and not all that amazing even back in 1995. What is positive is 1.) Nintendo are acknowledging the existence of the Earthbound series in Europe (outside of the Smash Bros series) 2.) Nintendo listened to and responded to consumer demand, on the Wii U's MiiVerse boards 3.) Earthbound fans now have a slightly higher chance of getting Mother 3 released in the west officially.

The game gets a lot of credit because the setting is so rare and the story so unusual. In a stale genre, it is still a very fresh setting.

No chance. Mother 1 & 2 both had official translations, 3 didn't. Nintendo won't waste the money on it now.

Mother 3 was the weakest in the trilogy anyway. Just go play the fan-translation if you're that keen.
