Nintendo GameCube ? are people really that unaware?

Talking about the MKD!! adverts, did anyone notice how awful they made the game look? Thanks to the fuzzy quality and 50 per cent reduction in frame rate it looked more like Mario Kart 64 than the smooth, crisp GC game.

This even carries through to the screenshots on the backs of the GC boxes. A lot of the GC games I won have really, really rubbish low quality screenshots on the boxes. That can't help the casual buyers in GAME and such like - they don't impress me and I know how good the games are.

I have already mentioned in another topic that I went into Tescos and overheard someone say that he wasnt getting the Gamecube because he was told they had stopped making the Games!!

Silly people on Websites I imagine. They skim read a post saying how Acclaim will no longer develop for the Cube, skim read another post by someone else stating that Nintendo temporarily stopped production of the cube. They then put two and two together to get i.

They then tell their friends. When both of them are drunk. And the friend posts on another website. It's like Chinese Whispers.

Before you know it, Halo 2 is coming out next week because P Diddy said something cryptic in an advert no one saw and someone no one has met swears he was shown the game before even the specialist press...

I have a Gamecube...my mates have Gamecubes, people at my school have Gamecubes......I only know 2 people with Xboxes. I guess it's just my clique....

I don't know anyone with a GC or PS2. Everyone has X-boxes around here because "Microsoft are best at making computers", a true quote I **** you not.

I know one other person outside our gamesplaying circle that owns a GBAsp, that's it, everyone else is X-Box only.

Im sure a few people who work in game shops or have even overheard this one 'Whats better ps2 or xbox?' I will always say gamecube, the look on there faces is priceless, then again 80% of the time they walk away with a ps2 there is just no convincing people with an image to keep

Unfortunately, I had to recommend a PS2 to a collegue in work. He really doesn't know games, all he wants is realistic racing games, and it's got to be GT3 and GT4 coming up...

I have all 3, but the cube has a special place in my heart... but I couldn't recommend it to him since it doesn't have the range that he wants/needs.

I am too diplomatic I guess, I say they are all the same really. Unless you are looking for something in paticular. And to be honest its mostly true, as most games are based on awful PS2 ports of 3rd party ****e!

No wonder the industry is dying on its ass, hey but if the mass market is satified thats all that matters
