Games like Fire Emblem

I'm enjoying Fire Emblem Awakenings on 3DS immensely. In fact, it's pretty much all I can concentrate on playing at the moment. Everything else just seems a bit brash, loud and fast. For some reason my head and heart aren't into those kind of games.

So, yeah, what else is like FE? Can be on PS3, PSP, Vita, Wii, DS or 3DS.

Jeanne D'arc on PSP is a little game. Stunning visuals too. Heroes of Mana, Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and Disgaea all worth a look.

Advance Wars and Rondo of Swords on the DS. Yggdra Union and Gungnir on the PSP.

Sadly this genre is a dying breed. Would kill for modern Front Mission. Only ones I can think of not mentioned yet are Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Wii, Tactics Ogre PSP and Vandal Hearts Flames of Judgement PSN. I know it's not exactly the same genre but it's kind of similiar: Valkyria Chronicles, check it out.

Overall W on DS is my favourite, then Z2 on PSP and OG2nd on PS3.

Front Mission on the DS is good. I quite enjoyed Ghost Recon 3DS but it is a much simpler game. Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor Overclocked just came out over here on the 3DS and might be what you're looking for. I'm playing Fire Emblem at the moment and have Overclocked lined up for my next game.

They aren't RPG's as such, but Ghost Recon Shadow Wars on the 3DS and Xcom on the PS3 are both fantastic turn based Strategy games.

I just got into the Fire Emblem games myself and I can recommend the other games in the series, although they are all quite expensive to get hold of these days.

Shining Force III is the king but you'll need a Sega Saturn and about ?150 to buy all the scenarios for the game.

Lots of good tactical RPGS on the hand held platforms, Valkyria Chronicles is a modern twist on the genre and is well worth playing if you haven't.

There is also the third Vandal Hearts game on PSN and XBLA also give Rainbow Moon a try on PSN.

Yeah the Vandal hearts game on XBL is good, although the artwork in the game is absolubtley atrocious and very cheap looking from what I remember.
