I'm not sure, I'm really not happy with anything MS talked about...

So I guess, they'd have to allow the console to function without Kinect, remove the ridiculous DRM and focus on some niche games again, similar to what they did on the original Xbox. Stuff like Panzer Dragoon and announce some cool Rare stuff like Killer Instinct...

All that said, there's more chance of hell freezing over so I'll stick with PS4/U

Who are we kidding? In 18 months' time we'll all have one. I'd like to think I won't bother. I'll grab one because of some arbitrary justification; I kinda like Forza and Gears of War.

Speak for yourself hehe, i like the 360 but this time around neither Microsoft, Sony or even Nintendo have shown anything that has made me go WOW i must buy a next gen machine.

Yeah, I agree. So far there's nothing to make me buy one either. I'll wait some time and see what types of game libraries they'll rack up. I reckon I'll get Sony, Nintendo, Xbox as is has happened this gen. Got a PS3 years ago, a Wii last week and planning to get an 360 this summer.

Phantasy Star Online 2 for a launch title.

Forza 5 ready at launch and better looking than the reveal trailer. Halo as a launch title. Mass Effect 4 exclusive to Xbox for 6 months (lol)

If it was given away, free, with every bag of Kellogg's Corn Flakes.

Seriously though, i've got zero interest in this console or the PS4 for that matter. I'm happy with my PC/Wii U/3DS combination.

Plus i don't have any emotional attachment to Sony/Microsoft IP, therefore i'm not missing out on anything.

Does this ever happen though? Excluding my DS my first 7th gen machine was bought Christmas Eve 2008. Personally I like to wait a little for the new machines to get games I actually want, and a few of them, before I even think about the hardware.

Nothing. I had the original X Box but only because I got it free with my NTL subscription, I have never even been tempted by an X Box 360 and I can say with 100% certainty that I won't be getting the X Box 1 either (but I do live in Japan so it will be easy to avoid)

Its a console, and it will have games on it. If you like games, then you have your reason to buy one. It's the same reason as owning every other console.

if you don't feel like you want every console then you do t really like games on more than a casual level do you? I'm pretty sure someone who loved video games would want to play all the games they could.

Its one thing to say you don't have the money for it, or you don't have the time (as many of us working adults never dont) but to say you don't actually want one means nothing more than you don't like games enough to want every console. All there is too it really.

If you say so. I never bought a Wii or a Wii-U either by the way. Or a Vita, or a 3DS. Though... If I'm the casual one then it's funny how I can never get any good quality discussion on the games I'm playing...

hint: buying all the games doesn't equate to playing all the games.

Blimey, do you own every console ever then? you must if you like games as much as you suggest...

Who doesn't/hasn't owned every console ever? You'd have to if you liked video games.
