Has anybody tried them? I have always loved the idea, but assumed that they would be too inaccessible unless your Japanese was really ****hot, not the Level 2 of the JLPT that mine is. However, there must be some cheap ones to buy secondhand from earlier generations, so I am getting tempted. I imagine that they will be fun to make and tinker with rather than to play. Also, am I right in thinking that they didn't ever get western releases?

I have tried the DS version & it was way beyond my grasp, Due to it making RPG's it's already a lot more complex than something like Dezaemon for shooters as you need to mess about with story scripts & event flags ect. Not as easy in Japanese, the menus in RPG tsukuru have a hell of a lot of kanji in them making progress harder than usual.
Looks like one of them made it to PS1 in the west.Last edited by importaku; 16-06-2013, 12:22.

I actually did a pretty good job on the Dreamcast version. I even made a video of it but where that video is now I couldn't say.
EDIT - I actually had the video on my site - http://www.segagagadomain.com/movie-...reamstudio.htm
All the camera tracking, panning and placements are manually done by myself as are the event timings, dialogue, maps and well, everything. The only thing you don't have to do on Dream Studio is make the 3D models. they're already made for you and there's a large selection to choose from.Last edited by Yakumo; 16-06-2013, 13:00.
