2D to 3D is a pretty hard one to top. Maybe VR will provide the true next generation of videogaming.

You could argue even Halo wasn't a killer app. The game is heavily plauded and eventually sold millions but the original Xbox almost died on its arse in its first year. Aggressive price cutting, generous reimbursment and Splinter Cell saved it.
Even though there's a lot of multiformat releases I'd say both upcoming launch line ups look to be overall some of the strongest

If you're a PC gamer the notion of these consoles having amazing graphics is a bit null because you're already there. It's going to be about the games and that's it.
Like others, the lack of Ridge Racer 8 is weird, i'd be straight on it if it came out though.
PS what's PTE40/42?Last edited by Baseley09; 20-06-2013, 09:17.

Whilst the consoles aren't as powerful as PC's are capable of being I'd say they're still important as they push all devs to raise their bar, despite the grunt a truly impressive looking PC game can be a rare thing. Too many are based on either a lack of resources or potential to move to consoles for more sales.
The number denotes how many PTE polls there's been. Makes it easy for me to perform a search on them too

Well, the lateness of the EU PS4 launch has certainly raised the XBO on my radar. It might only end up being out a few days earlier than its rival but that shift has made me focus more on MS's system.
As such I've effectively increased how many games I'll be getting on WiiU as I'm going to sell my PS3 after Beyond and get Ninty's versions of Assassins Creed IV, Batman and Lego Marvel. My intro to next gen will be XBO with Fifa 14 ( :/ ), CoD Ghosts, Forza 5, Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and Killer Instinct. When PS4 hits it will deliver for me Killzone, Knack, DriveClub, War Thunder, WarFrame, Battlefield 4, NFS Rivals and Watch Dog. Nice.
