Great games that came out whilst a next-gen console was waving it's bits about?

A big one that no one has mentioned is Super Mario RPG. Perhapse that would have had a European release if it hadn't come out so late in the SNES' life?

Also, I'm pretty sure Conkers Bad Fur day holds some kind of record here, as that game has been made twice, and released both times as the console it was made for was at the very end of its lifespan, hence I bet there are still many people who have never played it in either form, which is a massive shame.

Imagine if it'd exploited the expansion pak. Not difficult really, smoother frame-rate, and a "hi-res" option. Would have been ace at the time though. :/

Final Fantasy XII

This one could really use an HD release and benefit quite a bit, if used the two different license boards. Wouldn't be surprise if they did release it. Along with FFIX, I'd say this is one of my favorite in the series, gameplay wise.
