    Makoto Asada leaves Cave

Today the producer of many (if not all) Cave ports to the X360 leaves Cave. The departure was planned since August last year, and in his farewell post, Asada commented that he'll be working on next-gen games, without specifying anything else.
This is the translation of his post (thanks to Siliconera):

?About five years have gone by since I entered Cave to help with the company?s Xbox 360 branch, and as some of you may already know, I will be leaving the company of Cave. This is something that has been decided since August of last year, and it may be a surprising last-minute announcement, but I?d like to thank you all for your support up until now.
?As for what I?ll be doing next, I will be working on next-generation console projects, and it shouldn?t be long until I can announce my next work to you all. Furuhata will take over this blog, which I believe he should be announcing soon, so I hope you will show your support by continuing to read the blog. I?d like to thank you all for supporting this blog for the past five years.?

Asada is working at Mages on an undisclosed Xbox One game. The closest tie between Mages and Asada's previous line of work that comes to my mind is the home port of Ketsui.

1080p 60fps bullet hell with added cloud rendered bullets no doubt.

I hope it's a shmup for The One. Lets see what TGS brings.

Surely the Xbox One has to be the worst decision to make now for a Japanese dev, seeing how bad the 360 sold in Japan? PS4 surely

I wonder how much cash Microsoft? Corporation is chucking around in Japan to sign up exclusive Japan-only devs this time around? Or have they just given up?

EDIT - LOL, didn't realise that typing an M and then a dollar sign results in a Microsoft? Corporation. This forum, whats happened!??

I fully expect MS has completely written off Japan this time, the XBO's eventual release there will probably be just so they don't offend anyone. Don't blame them though.

Cave were really tight with MS so I assume Asada has gotten a sweet new job with them. I wonder what Japan-only genre MS will focus on locking down this time. Maybe the 2D fighter. Lol.
