nope just been announced I'm on there game package at the moment i can carry on with it but i wonder if this means there will be no new releases as there letting people stay on it but not accepting new sign ups. I was thinking it was time to can it, here's my excuse.

Is it clear that those on a games rental-elligible package already will not be able to rent them after August? The on-site FAQ doesn't make it clear.

Its funny the second they announced this and I sent my discs back they did a double quick turn around. I really haven't got much reason to use them without this so I will probably cancel.

When I read this on Eurogamer the other day, my first thought was to cancel and join Netflix just because of the shoddy way LoveFilm have handled this. I'm still waiting for an official email from them telling me that my current subscription will be ending and stating what will happen when it does. Will they just assume I want to switch to streaming only? or continue charging extra to send me disks, when I very rarely got movies from them?

Is the Netflix selection really as small as it looks on the website though? or is it just a selection of what's available?

Netflix uk isn't worth bothering with unless you use something like unblock US then you can get access to the American and Canadian library's. US is good for tv Canada for movies

I have canceled my love film and have signed up for Boomerang rentals. I sent an email to love film 2 days ago asking if my package would be going down by 50% since they took 50% of its use away. I was told the price would be staying the same. Do they think i am stupid? Offer half the product for the same price i think not.

Cancelled for existing subscribers now too

You may have already heard reports about changes to Games rental as part of the LOVEFiLM service.

We're very sorry if any information about service changes reached you by third party or media reports, rather than first coming from us.

From 8th August 2013, your current LOVEFiLM package will change, as we will no longer be offering Games rental. This is because we are concentrating on our core strength of providing world-class film and TV subscription services.

You can rent Games as normal until 8th August, but as of 8th July we will no longer charge you for the games rental element of your subscription - your account will be credited with the difference.

On 8th August, your package will change to Unlimited DVDs & Blu-rays, 3 discs at a time, PLUS unlimited instant viewing, for ?13.27 a month and your account will be automatically updated.

It looks like Netflix is undergoing some massive shift changes soon too, moving towards an exclusive content channel - hopefully I'll have finished X-files by the time that happens.....

Looks like Lovefilm added a cancellation via the website (wasn't available yesterday), you no longer have to phone up to do it - guess they were getting a bit swamped

lol, so they've had the code for that cancellation hanging around for ages ready to go if they needed it. Sneaky

They take 50% of the service away but only reduce the cost by 10%? What angered me the most was i e-mailed lovefilm 4 days ago and was told they were not canceling games for existing customers. Bloody liars, i canceled my account anyway but had to phone them and endure the hard sell.

My brother has signed up to Blockbuster ?14.99 3 disks dvds and games as well as 3 priority tickets a month.

I have signed up for a games only package with Boomerang for ?9.99 a month, i am already very impressed with their service.

Love Film are going to feel this just looking at their facebook page customers are canceling in droves. Add to the removal of games the problems they have been having with the streaming this week and its not been a good month for Love Film.
