Real life Resident Evil, in Japan for a limited time only...

    In Japan!

Ever want to know what it?s like to try and survive a Resident Evil game? Universal Studios in Japan has you covered with their new attraction, Resident Evil The Real.

This live-action shooting attraction puts you right into the middle of the zombie chaos in Racoon City. The 10 minute or so interactive horror fest goes through two different routes ? the Racoon City Police Department or the hospital. Each one, when completed, brings visitors to Umbrella?s Research Center for the final showdown.

The attraction uses a model gun that fires virtual bullets. Think of it as a more expensive version of Lazer Tag. The attraction is only open for a limited time, so if you?re in Japan on business, skip the next board room meeting and go check it out.
Taken from Arcade Sushi... check out teh pics Kotaku took of it, and the trailer!

If there was anyone I'd want watching my back during an outbreak of T-Virus it's Leon S Kennedy.

The "S" does stand for Shozuki y'know.

Yup, there was indeed. Sort of like a walk around haunted house where you were escorted through a replica of the umbrella mansion from the first PS1 game.

My word this sounds like a dream come true... The replica spencer mansion that is... But a live action ride sounds just as good!

Same place, Japan. No idea where in Japan as I remember it from a games mag where they mentioned it.

This looks great. Universal Japan is an awesome park too, it still has the Back To The Future ride unlike California and Florida (who converted theirs to The Simpsons Ride).

I really find those 'live actor' haunted house attractions pretty terrifying, but getting to shoot the people in there sounds brilliant

Wakka, do you know if LA's universal studios have the back to the future ride? I need to experience that again!
