Quest 2 is available on Amazon for £249 at the mo: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Oculus-Ques...7H3/ref=sr_1_3

Quest 3 is a big upgrade, but that's a decent price, and it works fine with PCVR - you will need a third-party headstrap though, as the default is pretty terrible.

My daughter want a Meta Quest 2 for xmas. What are the odds of that £249 price point dropping even more during Black Friday or do you think that's the lowest we will see it?

I think that is the Black Friday deal price.

I would be very surprised to see it go lower. Suspect that's the cheapest it has ever been, and...

Amazon are already selling a Black Friday bundle, which just adds an Amazon card.

Do you know why she specifically wants a Quest 2? (though admittedly, even as a big fan, it's hard to recommend the Quest 3 what with it being practically twice the price at present)

She has seen/player my eldest son's Quest 2 which he got for last xmas. Mostly played Job Simulator and Gorilla Tag. My eldest want Meta 3 for xmas, so he's getting that (he's heavily uses it). So for my daughter, I don't think she is quite as hardcore as my son, so I figured the 2 would be perfect for her.

No chance of giving her your son's Quest 2, if he's getting the 3? Or are you getting that

nah it needs to be box fresh and new. If you see the state of it, you would agree. It's mucky and has been bumped into walls and everything

Assassin's Creed Nexus appears to have been well-received.

Easily the most recognized IP to launch in a VR game this year, Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is quite anticipated and has a lot riding on it. But as we know, translating existing flatscreen games into VR is never an easy process. Did Ubisoft nail it? Read on to find out. Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR Details: Available …

STRIDE (2021) offers up the sort of parkour action you’d expect from a VR-native version of Mirror’s Edge (2008), replete with jumping across dangerous urban chasms, wall-running, and shooting your way past a bunch of roof-walking goons. While previously slated to arrive as DLC to the original game, developer Joy Way has now released the campaign …

From flagship smartphones to VR headsets, first-party accessories tend to be pretty expensive. Along with the higher price tag though, consumers typically expect exceptional quality. After all, the product’s designers had a head start, so those day-one accessories should be, if not the best out there, at very least high quality. Meta sells an array …

If you're looking for a wireless PCVR solution that's got pancake lenses, is lightweight and is a higher res than Quest 2, but don't want to shell out for the Quest 3, this might be worth a look. It works well with Virtual Desktop, I was using this as my primary PCVR headset until Quest 3 turned up. The screen isn't quite as bright as Quest 3, but at that price it is worth considering.
