In snaps from a recent tour of Valve's offices references to Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 have been spotted suggesting a sequel to the co-op series is in the works. Nothing on HL3 though.

I can't wait to see what Valve artists and designers get to show off with a new custom engine.

Loved the first two, still play the second loads. Can't wait for this to come out. Always thought they could go nuts and have 8 player co-op!

In 8 player L4D is ****e - maps are too small for that many players and in L4D 3 they'll need to be massive.

I reckon it'll be 6 player.

The original L4D games create such a sense of dread, panic and mayhem, and can make you feel so hopeless at any moment that L4D3 on a new system with all that extra power has the potential to be utterly brilliant.

It's a horror staple that a dude you thought was dead comes back to save the day or ruin it. I reckon he'll return. The only reason they did that anyway was all to do with the voice actor being a dick.

The creator of CounterStrike says he's seen this so it sounds like its Valve's next game as his HL3 comments are flakey

I'm actually thinking now they need to get Half Life 3 out before Left 4 Dead 3 as there's way, way, way too many zombie co op games about atm. Everyone needs a break as we've reached saturation point.

The problem with HL3 is they have left it too long ... Its turned into vapourware and will never fulfill the hype .. Its rapidly turning into a duke nukem : took forever.

Two things need to happen here, one source engine 2 will have to blow peoples mind from a technical point of view. And secondly valve need to announce HL3 this E3 with some sort of footage to prove that its being worked on.

If L4D gets announced as well then so be it, but it had better be good.

Purely from a software development point of view Valve are slowly but surely disappearing up their own arse.

Not being funny but HL3 could be built on the old source engine and still rock for me. Atmosphere and story all day long.

To be honest Half Life 3 is just turning into another Shenmue 3. Forever to be a piece of gaming mythical legend and nothing else.

Are you guys mad? No way will Valve give HL3 up and you can get your bottom doller its being worked on. Since when have their games ever leaked or been rushed?
