XBone and PS4 are designed as "For the masses" launches. Girl up the pub is getting "the new xbox". She doesn't even know what it's called but she knows she's getting "the new assassin's creed and call of duty" with it. She's getting an xbox because she's always had an xbox. XBox One Mission launch accomplished.

People like us don't matter til later.

I don't look down on people's tastes, but the PS4 launch is vastly underwhelming to say the least.

Well, I've just gone and ordered with Shopto. Same stuff as I had with Amazon but I called Amazon and they were unbelievably unhelpful. Even with my order number they had problems finding any information.

It's worked out about ?20 more going with Shopto but at least I know I'm getting it day 1!

Interesting read nice to see sonys stance on the uk market too. reading between the lines it looks like they stopped the preorders too make sure there will be stock in stores on day one lol, happy I don't have to rush to store to secure one though.

Sony must have produced a serious amount of units to still be accepting day one preorders AND be planning for a pre-Xmas restock.

I do really like the design of the console and the pad. I think they look great.

Just got my call from Game to confirm which bundle. Went for the standard Killzone bundle saving ?50 from my budget

Strider is a Japanese launch title, so whilst you're all enjoying Borezone or whatever I'll be playing that.

Everyone will be bored of borezone by then and will probably be playing Strider HD on their UK and US machines at the same time.
