The creators of Penumbra and Amnesia are teasing us with their new game, set for a reveal this Friday by the sounds of it.

There has also been several tweets from PlayStation highlighting the new teaser videos when they go live, hinting that this could will also be for PS4 or even possibly exclusively for PS4.

Sci Fi meets Amnesia in FPS? I'm in. Although Routine MAY do it better though when it's eventually released.

The FMV teasers have been pretty interesting, Teaser 2 is very interesting, I am hoping the concept comes across in game form.

Teaser 1

ITEM #2656 ? "Vivarium"

DESCRIPTION:The machine has the appearance of a heavily modified monitor fixed to a massive nest of cables and controls. Machinist Peter Strasky found the contraption during a salvage mission CORRUPT DATA the screen rolled and flickered, but it shut down as it was pulled out from the container.

None of the crew stepped forward to take credit, but the construction suggests CORRUPT DATA since Thabo is unavailable for questioning, the machine's origin remains a mystery.

Considering the lack of information and the general unease it has started to cause, the machine will be disassembled.

CORRUPT DATA screen lit up and showed distorted schematics. After trying different switches and keys, the oblique levers were found to be torsion attenuation controls which could stabilize the pict CORRUPT DATA revealing a complex set of instructions. The machine is now under quarantine.

AM Engineer Imogen Reed has asked for an exception CORRUPT DATA Special permission granted.

DESCRIPTION:

AM Engineer Imogen Reed quickly records an interview in case the Mockingbird would continue its self-destruction. CORRUPT DATA appears there is a real Adam Golaski working at Omicron. Invited Chief Engineer Golaski to talk to the impostor construct.

While the footage above is unedited gameplay footage (I played through and recorded it myself), it is not from an actual game level. Just like with our Amnesia teaser video, it is a custom made map that is meant to show off the general feel and tone of the game over a four minute long trailer.

/A final aspect of making the trailer was not to have too many spoilers. Because of this, the video does not star the protagonist from the actual game, but a totally different (and minor) character. The events that occur in the trailer are not taken directly from the game either. They just showcase the kind of happenings one can expect from the final game. This means that we can give a good overview of what the game is about, without spoiling the actual game experience. But don't worry, the things in the video are very much related to the game's story. Everything you see are hints of things to come.

Looks quite good, will probably try this. (Was scared witless by the Dark Descent, for all the hammy voice acting. Amnesia Piggies by thechineseroom was a comedy by comparison).

setting looks a bit too generic to me. is this going to be a point and click game? if not why is there no physical body in a first person view?

Cannot wait to grab this, going to be intense.
Tried to stay spoiler free too, there was a story trailer released today, haven't watched it personally.
