No issues at all with the Xbox One from Amazon. I have the Code for my Expansion Pass (just checked Amazon). Pleased to note a physical Destiny. Amazon did manage to pack a pair of reading glasses in the box (in its nice flimsy plastic bag) I ordered separately. Needless to say it did not end well. A replacement pair is on the way.
I ordered Tomb Raider Definitve Collection and Rayman Legends from Amazon (as they seeemed reasonably cheap) which arrived yesterday so I have a choice of games.
Bought Minecraft for ?3.59 as I had the 360 version. I have managed a few of the (1000 points!) of Achievements for it and imported one save from the 360 as I had a long rail line and plenty of resources to work on some of the new Achievements.
I downloaded the two free games as well (thought I would at least give them a try).
Was pleased to note I could leave my 360 on to chat to my 360 only friends while playing on the One.Comment

Well the numbers are in, the xbone had a pretty terrible launch in Japan. I know XB isn't that popular over there but damn
Just 23k were sold compared to the 123k that even the 360 managed.Comment

I just got my xb1 set up yesterday. I think mine might have a bit of a problem with it. It plays everything I've tried fine however the hard drive is constantly making the access noise when on the home screen/dashboard. It goes away when playing a game. Is that normal?Comment

MS have acknowledged there are some with noise problems, when in low power mode, dashboard.
You can see the video in above article when they launch a game noise stops as console is consuming more, same applies with when kinect, when it's plugged in the noise stops.Comment

Yea it's barely audible in-game at all. At least I'll be able to play it until they pick it up.

Id send it back to the retailer rather than Microsoft, you won't have to wait 2 weeks that way. Distance selling regs should have you covered, if not just walking into the store you bought it should be just as simple.Comment

Cloud saving is standard, as long as you have been online and saved it's always saved to the cloud.Originally posted by jamesy View Post

I used to be alright with it but I haven't been on my XBO for a while, so I'm just going to come out and say it. The consoles UI is without doubt worse than any other mainstream console that has ever existed. The whole thing is so damned cumbersome, the store is worse than PSN's and the idea that users exist who can't even shortcut with Kinect commands now pains me to imagine. MS needs to update with a whole new, clearly categorised front end which is designed squarely around controller navigation and simplicity.
