This may go some way to help build the excitment of Xbox One release day, shall be very interested to see the reviews start going live later today. Cant quite belive we are in the home straight now, seems like an age ago Xbox One was announced.

Microsoft is doing things a little differently, staggering review embargoes throughout next week. Look for Dead Rising 3 and Crimson Dragon reviews as soon as Monday and Ryse on Thursday

Ryse for Thursday, lol to late to cancel your pre-order now but its not filling me with confidence, the fact that their leaving it till the eve of the one launch to let critics speak about it speaks volumes.

Killer Instinct= 7's and 8's
Zoo Tycoon= 6's and 7's
Angry Birds Star Wars= 10's across the board, it will be the perfect game to showcase just what Xbox One is capable of

Why are people so desperate for Ryse to be a failure? I'd be amazed if its anything less than a solid 8.

I don't want it to be a failure, infact it was a game I wasn't bothered by that I became very interested in. But it just sounds like its a pretty looking simple button basher that will be half price in a few weeks.

Not desperate but its not looking good if it comes out with solid reviews on Thursday (when the review embargo is lifted) id be very surprised. Microsoft know its got a lot of negativity surrounding it, so why leave it till the last minute to let reviews out? where as games like Dead Rising and Crimson Dragon that start off the week of reviews have all been previewed quite favorably.

I've got a feeling Ryse is going to be decent but will get reviewed badly. It's not going to score in the 9s or getting any major praise but I really get the feeling while the combat looks simplistic & it hand holds you its going to be more of a challenge on higher difficulty settings.

I remember Crytek stating on the default it wouldn't punish you for missing execution prompts but you wouldn't get perfect scores which fill your focus meter so basically I'm hoping its a better game if played on hard. Sort of like Halo isn't Halo if you don't ramp it up.

Not saying it'll be the case, just hope it is. Having played the multiplayer recently it certainly looks the part and that mode was great fun in co-op... And certainly wasn't easy (not sure what it was set to in the demo).

Not long to find out now anyway. I'm getting it but it may just turn out to be a nice launch day rental.

I'm going to guess:

Forza 5 - Mostly 8's garnered for the quality of the core game but loss of content and no big progression
Ryse - Mostly 6 and 7's, decent but flawed being cited
Dead Rising 3 - Mostly 7's due to the mooted frame issues etc
Crimson Dragon - 6's
Fighter Within - 2 and 3's at best
Zoo Tycoon - 6's due to being too light on depth in places
Killer Instinct - 6's and 7's, it'll go down alright but get pulled up on the amount of missing content and modes on launch day

Overall, similar scores to what PS4 got. Players will lap them up but from a review site perspective I'm expecting them to settle on both systems still missing a killer app

Ryse looks like one of the worst games of all time. From the game play vids you can see how predictable the flow of combat is.

But then it has ace graphics and is quite violent, so it'll probably get an 8.

And so the guesses above were accurate thus far. I expected slightly higher scores for Dead Rising based upon the feedback from people who played it.

Worringly the Forza reviews are later...is that a good or a bad sign? With Ryse I imagine it'll be bad.
