Thought it would be interesting and fun to list the games everybody got at past console launches, or at least what games you got when you purchased your console. Here's my list:

I have never bought a console at launch, but from memory these are the games I bought along with each one:

Playstation: Formula 1, Exhumed
Dreamcast: Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi
GameCube: Super Monkey Ball, F-Zero GX
Playstation 2: ..honestly can't remember... think it was the first licensed F1 game, and maybe Tekken Tag? I remember I was playing FFIX on it a lot.
Playstation 3: Devil May Cry 4, Virtua Fighter 5

I've never got a console at launch. The closest I came was the Gamecube, but I waited till the J/US switch was available before ordering from LikSang. I had it before UK launch though, so I suppose it counts. I got Star Wars Rogue Leader and Super Monkey Ball.

I've never got a console at launch before either. Being a child for most of that list...I had to wait for Father Christmas to bring most of it.

I got a Japanese PSP on launch however.

What I like about lists like this, is that it can bring you back to a certain point in time, and remember how you felt opening up that game and turning your console for the 1st time.

when younger it tended to be Christmas or birthdays when we got new tech so not necessarily at launch, i remember some of the box artwork like it was yesterday

I have only ever purchased 2 systems at launch:-

• US N64 - Mario 64 (I sold my SNES with Secret of mana, Chrono Trigger, FF6, Sky Blazer and more. Also my Amiga stuff to fund this. Regret it now!)

• Japanese Gamecube - Super Monkey ball and Wave Race

Every other system since Commodore 64 has been after launch, after I was satisfied I cleaned up.

I think either the Gamecube or the 360's launch are the best I ever had.

The only ones I've got on launch have been the GBA, Gamecube, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, 3DS and Vita.

GBA: I can only really remember Mario Advance...
Gamecube (Might be incorrect because I was like 13 or something at the time): Wave race, Super Monkey Ball, Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Luigi's Mansion.
PSP: Ridge Racers and Lumines.
DS: Feel the magic, Mario 64 DS and I think there was something else but no idea.
Xbox 360: Condemned, Call of Duty 2, Perfect Dark Zero, King Kong and Kameo.
Wii: Zelda, Super Monkey Ball (can't remember what it was called? Banana blitz? or is that the vita one) and Trauma Center. (can't remember if I got anything else)
3DS: Street fighter, Ghost recon, Ridge Racer (free with the magazine that I cancelled) and Super Monkey Ball.
Vita: Lumines, Uncharted (rental) + escape plan and that blob game I forget the name of.

The rest I either got for xmas, a birthday or just bought after launch like the Wii U.
