PC gaming joypad recommendations

Is the 360 pad still the one to go with or have the likes of Logitech or Razer or anyone else come up with something you love?
I have a decent steering wheel already so it's not to be used for racing games if it makes a difference.

Xbox 360 is the best one out there at this moment... Its optimize for quite a number of games..fifa etc

It's the safe bet, yes.

I might try a Razer one down the line.

The 360 controller is the simplest solution because most PC games are specifically designed for it and support itnout of the box with no configuration.

But it is possible to use a PS3 controller and a driver to make it 'emulate' the 360 controller. The PS4 controller will be compatible with the PC out of the box, too.

Being a serious PES player, I still use a PS2 pad with adapter for my PC gaming.

Hoping I can upgrade to the PS4 pad though depending on how the triggers are for PES.

I think most people would just choose the 360 pad at the moment though.
