Going next gen? What are you doing with your current gen systems?

It'd be nice if both Sony and Microsoft came out with some sort of HD-DVD style addon for them that'd let you play PS3/Xbox 360 games on the new ones. I'd pay like ?100 to be able to do that.

There are some rumours still going that Microsoft are bringing a Gameless version of the Xbox One out to directly compete with Apple/Google TV.

The same thing was rumored prior to the One announcement where it would be a digital only 360

My PS3 won't be going anywhere in the medium term. It'll be a good year at least until the next gen really kicks off, during which time the PS3 might actually see some more play time (despite the plan to get a PS4 in February) due to cheaper games.

It will never get sold because, well, how else will I play my PS3 games?

I have a Wii set up which I also use for GameCube games, but this may be retired to the closet eventually.

My 360 stays until me and my brother have fully worked through the Gears series and my wii is somewhere in the house and one day I will complete those 3 RPGs...

My PS3 will never be sold of as its signed. The PS4 will take its place downstairs in the livingroom and the PS3 can come up, once I've completed a couple back catalogued games and a few coming out next year I'll likely box it up and keep it stored away safely.

Ps3 will stay where it is for a long while yet - if it broke I would replace it immediately, using it for three generations. PS4 will go next to or above it - they'll have to take turns with the ethernet cable at least until FFXIV comes to PS4 in February.

Traded my PS3 in today, was still rocking the 40gb which I happily got ?90 for after price matching CEX. GAME said they only offer ?10 trade in for a 40gb console, ?10!
I have 235 XBLA games on 360, so yeah that bitch is staying.

Not actually going fully next-gen yet so my Wii & PS3 are sticking around. Way I see it, the PS3 will need to stay even when I get around to buying a PS4 (BC and all that jazz). I still have a few titles that I want to get for my Wii but it is soft-modded which is awfully handy for all types of emulation AND obligatory GC playback. Not actually sure what I'd do if I were to get a Wii U.

Haven't actually turned my 360 on in god-knows-how-long, and I think that I actually still have unredeemed Microsoft Points (will they be converted into ?s now?) and a XBL 1 year Gold Sub lying around. Whilst part of me wants to keep it around as I've plenty of 360 games that I still haven't played, the other part of me couldn't care less about XBox consoles anymore.

In any case, I'll probably box up and pack away my Wii and 360 somewhere down the line - cant imagine that trading them in would be worth anything at this point. Going back further, I still have a Dreamcast, TEST PS2 and a Panasonic Q still kicking around!

PS4, PS Vita 2000 and PS Vita TV here. I'm debating on keeping my LL, but everything else is sale fodder. I stopped playing last-gen in January. Both PS Vita variants have the full Metal Slug library, which is about the only retro I actually care for.

Black. I only ever buy black hardware, unless it isn't available like Vita TV. I'm sure there will be a black version somewhere down the line, so I'll swap over when it happens.

I got the Vita itself, a 64GB memory card, official case, official hand strap, official screen protector, official cradle and Killzone. TBH since I sold my last Vita in January, Killzone is the ONLY game that has been released that I'd even consider playing. I just wanted to get back to all Sony hardware again. I might keep the LL because there are less playable games than XL, and if I stay all-digital it won't intrude on my set up.

A lot seem to be keeping their PS3s running, then again it is about year behind the 360

I'm considering selling my US 60GB PS3, but I have Okami HD on it which I still haven't played and who knows if it will be possible to play it on the PS4...? But then again, maybe it's better just to keep it.
